Most guests flying from New York will come into Shannon or Dublin, then drive down to Clonakilty in West Cork. The flights below are a sample of the direct options. Times and airlines will shift closer to 2027, so please confirm when you book.

Shannon (SNN)

≈ 2 hr 15 min drive to Clonakilty

The closest airport to us and the easiest arrival. It’s small and quick to get through, with US pre-clearance on the way home.

Cork (ORK)

≈ 50 min drive to Clonakilty

By far the closest airport to Clonakilty, and the simplest option for anyone coming from Europe or the UK.

If you’re flying from Europe, Cork is the best option. It’s well connected across Europe and the UK, and only a short drive from Clonakilty.

A Friday arrival lands the morning of the wedding, so we’d suggest flying Wednesday or Thursday to settle in and join us for arrival drinks.

By Train from Dublin

Dublin Heuston → Cork Kent

If you’d rather not drive the whole way from Dublin, the train to Cork is a comfortable option. Book early on irishrail.ie, as advance online fares are the cheapest and tickets open about 90 days ahead.

From around €13.20 one way if you book online in advance. Walk-up fares on the day are a good bit higher.
Getting to Heuston
Dublin Airport to Heuston Station takes about 30–40 min by taxi, or the Airlink 747 bus runs directly from the terminals.
Cork to Clonakilty
From Cork Kent it’s about 50 min on to Clonakilty. You can hire a car, take a taxi, or catch the Bus Éireann 243 from Cork city centre.

Car Hire & Parking

Hiring a car is the easiest way to reach Clonakilty and to get around West Cork during the weekend. Free parking is available at the venue and at the hotels.
